Reverse Glass Commissioned Painting

Process & Subjects: The painting is created with a black ink drawing (if a graphic style is chosen), then layered with oil paint for subject details, coloring, and patterns chosen by the artist for composition, balance, and texture. The final layer can be either paint or paper and collage, depending on the artist and client's collaborative choices.
Design Choices: You can choose from the existing designs or provide your bird and foliage choices during checkout (a custom design fee applies). The number of choices is limited by the size of the painting.
Style Choices: Choose a graphic style (showing the initial line drawing) or a more painterly style.
Size Choices: Medium (up to 11×14), Large (up to 16×20), X-Large (up to 20×24), 2X (up to 24×36). Exact sizes may depend on the availability of upcycled/vintage frames (if chosen) or your private frame (if selected).
Frame Choices: Opt for an Upcycled/Vintage frame from the artist’s collection, or provide one from YOUR OWN private collection
Exclusivity: For an additional $250 design fee, you can limit the design in the painting to an edition of 1 by choosing “Exclusive Rights” during checkout. Otherwise, Jennifer may use all or part of the design for up to 9 future paintings. The design fee covers the cost of creating the original linework digital drawing used to guide the painting of the finished piece.
The artist only offers reverse glass Custom Paintings from December through February. A limited number of commissions are accepted. Commissions open December 1st and are first come, first serve, with 15 slots available. Delivery is scheduled based on the order in which commissions are purchased. Questions about the expected delivery time can be emailed to Jennifer before purchase. Delivery takes a minimum of 4 weeks.

The Commission Process
1) The customer will receive an email communicating commission expectations and confirming expected timeframes, subject matter, size, and framing.
2) The line drawing that will form the basis of the art will take about 1-2 weeks and will be sent to the customer for design approval. Modification requests are accepted at this time.
3) Once the drawing is approved, the painting will begin and take about 3-4 weeks, depending on the drying time of each layer of oil paint.
4) The final painting will be scanned and sent to the customer before delivery/shipment. Any final concerns should be communicated at this time. Once the painting is shipped, refunds are not available.
Due to the layers of oil paint applied during the art process, custom reverse glass paintings will take about 4-6 weeks to complete from start to finish. As such, a limited number of commissions can be offered, and specific refund rules are applied to this purchase. Commissions will be accepted from December 1 through February 28 and worked in the order they were received. Commissions may be delivered up to March 31. You will be contacted immediately after purchase with expected delivery times. A full refund can be processed at this time if the delivery date does not meet expectations. If you choose the custom design option, a line drawing with the requested bird and floral elements will be sent for approval. Changes and/or color preferences can be discussed at that time. Refunds, less the custom design fee, can still be processed at this point in the process. Once a painting is started, refunds are available for only 1/2 the original commission price.
